Grants Available for Expanding Propane Education — Including High Schools!
Your school and your students could benefit from grant funding for propane education — and it’s free to apply.

The HVAC Technical School Grant Program from the Propane Education and Research Council (PERC) offers funding to educational institutions looking to expand their HVAC, plumbing or other related class curriculum to include propane-specific training. This program is designed to upgrade school labs to teach students about safely working on propane appliances.

The 2025 program provides great opportunities for eligible institutions:
High schools are eligible for $5,000 to incorporate into their classroom the eight-hour Overview of Propane Distribution Systems curriculum and accompanying list of appliances and equipment.
Post-secondary educational facilities can choose between the $5,000 condensed program as noted, or the full $10,000, 80-hour HVAC and Plumber Technical Training curriculum that has a larger list of accompanying appliances and equipment.
Applying for these grant funds is completely free of charge — but don’t delay. Applications must be completed by December 20.
