So, what we have made is a transformer. Let’s test it out with a simple experiment.
Materials Required:
Provided
• Your transformer
• 9 Volt Battery
• Speaker
Procedure:
Connect your transformer as shown below. To one coil of the transformer connect the speaker. To the other coil MOMENTARILY touch the 9 volt battery (or any battery). Do not leave the battery connected else it will drain immediately and ruin your cell or battery.
PLEASE RESPOND: Describe what happens to the speaker….and only when there is a MOMENTARY connection. mjaeger@eou.edu
