High Desert Partnership uses and promotes collaborative decision-making with diverse partners to engage in solving challenging issues to build ecological, economic and social vitality in their communities. High Desert Partnership accomplishes this mission in many ways such as helping partners secure the resources they need to see their visions turn into reality. The partnership seeks and secures funding to support initiatives and their projects. Their board and staff engage regularly in conversations with community members to enhance collaborative efforts. High Desert Partnership works with all the agencies in Harney County, including US Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, US Fish and Wildlife Service, Or Dept. of Fish and Wildlife. They also have many other partners in agriculture, social services and nonprofit organizations.

For Students

High Desert Partnership provides the following for middle school, high school, and college students:

  • Fall, Spring, and Summer Field Trip or Tour
  • Guest Speaker
  • Online Guest Speaker
  • Fall, Spring, and Summer Job Shadows

High Desert Partnership welcomes students to come on a specialized tour. While there High Desert Partnership asks students wear long pants and closed toe shoes. The partnership can accompany at most 15 people on each tour.
